This film was completely improvised! My director gave me the same question each take, and right before action she'd give me a word that I had to improvise a story off of. This was the take we went with, and the project ended up inspiring my first one person play, "Tasha Builds A Desk".
This film was a Mother's Day present for my mom! She taught me to make clothes (and I love her a lot), so I wrote her a poem, made a blouse, and made a film about it.
Solo Show: "Tasha Builds A Desk"
This is my first one person play! Inspired by "Slut" (dir. Liz Gunther), I wanted to learn about Greek life and hazing accountability. I also wanted to build a desk onstage. I did both! My director Sofie Berg and I brought the project to The Hollywood Fringe and Cinnabar Theater in June of 2023, and it was an invaluable learning experience.
